From my perspective, it’s taking a slur people like Kirk embrace and throws it back at them by labeling their alleged all-consuming love of Jesus as homosexual. It’s a bit reductio ad absurdum - they label us sinners but they’re the ones with a hard-on for Christ. I’m gay and I created the meme, btw. But I also enjoy really extreme, offensive humor (I’m just saying. Not trying to be confrontational)
I get where you’re going, and I get that you yourself are homosexual, but I think “ew gay” or something similarly pithy would work better, and not lean into using hostile terms like that. This is the same reason I find the n-word extremely distasteful, even if a black person is the one using it. It’s just not something I believe should be used in general vernacular (or memes).
