    This feels like a big deal considering New York’s reputation for (excessive amounts of) deli meats in sandwiches!

      NYC has been making a lot of great strides in this area the past few years. For instance, they’ve also been introducing plant-based by default in hospitals for lunch and dinner. Which has seemed to have had good results with majority of people going with the plant-based default and reporting high satisfaction with it. Here’s NYC’s March 2025 short report on it

    “Processed” could also mean butchering. A steak could legally be considered processed meat. They need to be clearer about the definition.

      i kind of agree, but steak is a stupid first step in asking for the definition of ‘processed’.

      also considering the ‘push towards plant based proteins’ is in the headline, i don’t think steak is being used

    I love the idea of pulling a Monkey’s Paw on the JBPs and RFKs by turning to plant-based foods instead of the pure-meat diets they want.
