I live in South Korea. Fuck you. You have no idea what the fuck you’re talking about.

Defectors take great personal risk and risk the lives of their families and loved ones. When they defect, they have no support network, no way to verify job skills, no knowledge of social norms, and limited understanding of what is and isn’t allowed.

There’s a ministry here specifically dedicated to helping defectors learn wtf the rest of the world is and how to function in society. Yes, they are given funds, but that’s because they have nothing, and it’s not a large sum of money. Honestly, defecting kind of sucks, and someone has to be in a really, really, really bad place to try it.

So fuck right off with that. You think your ideology helps people live better lives and all that, but you’re only thinking in the abstract. You’re not thinking about the daily lives of individuals, about how systems actually work, about the logistics involved and problems to be solved. You don’t think seriously about these things. You just think you’re cool counter culture and have fallen for stupid tricks that most of our species has learned from for half a century now. Fuck you.
