At this point if there’s a problem you can pretty much assume it’s caused by them.

Miticide resistant mite disease, so, yes, pretty much the same as MAGA.

The ironic thing is that it is lack of good pesticides that is killing the bees.

Nobody ever actually shows any evidence this affected bees

Until very recently, when they did: https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2025/08/250822073807.htm

It’s possible this is the root cause. Better nutrition leads to better immune systems, more egg laying, etc.

huh, wouldn’t it be crazy if bees already produced a nutritionally complete food for themselves

They can only do that if they are eating the right nutrients in the first place.

Better nutrition leads to longer life. Works like that for humans too. Ramen noodles and energy drinks don’t cut it either. Not that bees consume those in large quantities

Still not one cause though. Maybe a proximate cause but the bees have less forage due to monoculture and climate change screwing with plant cycles. This results in malnutrition and increased susceptibility to viruses. The anti mite drugs allowed them to limp along while feeding them sugar water till they got to orchards but obviously that’s not going to cut it.
