Even if you know you’re going to lose a match you still show up to play. Zelensky is playing the game that’s politics and yeah I bet he knows how trump doesn’t give a fuck or care besides the last compliment he received but Trump gets to say yes or no especially to the arms deal was “talked about” for 100 billion so Us gets money and Ukraine gets “NATO 5 security protections” how ever doubtful is going to happen he has to play or at least be there to listen to the and be able to use his for voice for his country’s survival. I get and understand your view and frustrations as from well and if we can see it here “arm chairing” the situation from here I’m sure it’s plenty palatable on what the situation is there on the “ground floor” . Look how levity acted right after the meeting with Putin and everyone reaction who attended meeting after, there faces and tone said it all the US is capitulating to Russia over allies and Ukraine and from the look of things that’s probably not going to change with the tan mango or US foreign policy as brine soon. Hope you don’t take this as me disagreeing with your perspective because if you’re not frustrated and upset you’re not paying attention. I want Ukraine to win and the clock is running on time and support as more countries still move towards the far right with elections results and the US isn’t helping things in that sphere either… sorry about the ramble and long reply and hope you took my reply as a different view on the same situation but hey I’m just a very concerned person with the state of the world right now same as you where our sphere of conserve is global but our influence is very minuscule in comparison. Do what you can from the bottom up locally/politically if you’re able too and that’s going to be on what you consider possible and safe for your own self and loved ones. Shit has been scary and continues too get worse by the day hour it seems at the end of the day we each have to decide our own level of involvement for whatever reason that may be (I’m not trying to hate on any one who cannot voice their opinion because it might put them in danger of being kidnapped by ICE in the US or reprisals that may get you fired or black balled in your work or industry but if you can work either in the shadows or your in a privileged position or class please use your voice for those who cannot or have already been silenced)

Apologies… embarrassed we couldn’t even put on a friendly face for such a great ally. Please do everything you can to distance yourself from us till we prove we “got our shit” together.

Voting for a candidate that won’t clear 5% is just as bad if not worse than skipping out on the election. That protest vote was summarily ignored before it was even cast and won’t effect any level of change. Anybody who decided Kamala’s refusal was worse than Trump’s everything has fallen victim to the same right-wing disinformation that MAGAts have been slurping up harder than an altar boy at a Catholic Church for a decade.

I’m still going to do the right thing, even if only .0000000000000001% are doing the right thing.

The question isn’t why am I trying to help Stein win; the question is why you aren’t.

That protest vote was summarily ignored before it was even cast and won’t effect any level of change.

I don’t protest vote. I think that’s stupid. That would be like writing in Mickey Mouse or something like that. I’m voting for a candidate’s platform that I believe in, not against another candidate’s. Ironically, a “protest vote” would more accurately reflect many votes for Harris, i.e. people who didn’t care about her platform but wanted to stop Trump.

BTW, my vote was not ignored. It was counted. You can see how many votes Stein got on her Wikipedia article.

Within a first last the post voting framework, a vote for a candidate that has an acknowledged 0.0000000000000001% chance of winning is functionally equivalent to taking the advice from Carrie Underwood’s 2005, Grammy award-winning song “Jesus Take the Wheel” seriously.

With that vote you are tacitly submitting to the whims of the masses which in this election means you functionally endorsed Trump for president. Did you think Trump would do better by the Palestinians than Kamala would? Because your vote for Stein (which was absolutely a vote protesting Kamala’s genocide denial) shows an indifference and disrespect for the power of your vote.

Congratulations, you have consciously made the decision to be a single-issue voter and by doing so personally contributed to Trump’s reelection. The Palestinian corpses that will be bulldozed to make room for Trump Land thank you for your service.

Just to clarify: People are assuming you voted for Trump (or at least not for Harris) in an effort to support Palestine

The result of Trump being elected is the current situation, where there is a very real possibility of Israel taking complete control of the Gaza Strip and genociding or displacing all Palestinians currently there

When it comes to the Gaza Strip, Harris was the lesser of two evils. Anyone who voted for Trump, or a 3rd party, helped Netanyahu commit genocide free of American interference. Trump’s America is even giving Bibi huge political and material support, far in excess of what America has ever given before

If that accurately describes you, then we’re all on the same page. If it doesn’t, you may want to clarify your comments now

Genocide is a black-and-white issue. When voting, the second-best thing you can do is not vote for a pro-genocide candidate. The best thing you can do is vote for an anti-genocide candidate. In this election, there were two: Cornel West and Jill Stein.

It sucks that third party candidates have no chance to win without major overhauls in how our political system works. Those overhauls haven’t happened yet, unfortunately, and everyone voting third party for the reasons you state knew it during the last election. I’m sure the people in Palestine would be tripping over their emaciated children to line up and sniff your farts with you.

When did she say that? She gave every indication that she would continue Biden’s policies.

When has Stein ever endorsed genocide?

If you’re a Biden-Harris voter, you’re the one who should be happy. Trump is only continuing Biden’s policies. Agreeing with Biden’s position on Gaza but disagreeing with Trump’s position must take some serious mental gymnastics.
