President Donald Trump stood in the White House press briefing room Monday morning, declaring it “Liberation Day in D.C.” and announcing that he was taking over Washington, D.C.’s police force. Invoking Section 740 of the District of Columbia Home Rule Act, a rarely used provision of federal law, Trump said he was placing the Metropolitan Police Department under direct White House control and deploying the D.C. National Guard into city streets.

Yeah, but this is actually more disqualifying than the Epstein files. This isn’t a distraction; this is the main event.

Also, republicans can fire him at any time. This is a job that the American people allegedly hired him to do. He’s doing a super shitty job by any measure. Fire his ass.

We need Congress to step up and be a full branch of government.

My hope is that a number of Republicans have been biding their time until they can coordinate and actually be effective. Until then, whatever, kiss the ring to not out yourself. But prepare to defend America.

The senate is lost to corporate interests. The corporate interest is currently (as it was with Mussolini) with authoritarian rule. There is more hope in the house but the same factors are at play. The military is also extremely powerful. You’re going to have to seize power at the point of production.
