It has an excellent web layout/app (Interstellar) and has Mastodon baked in along with Lemmy. It’s a very elegant catch all piece of fediverse software.

People got caught up with lemmy, as it was the most advertised one when the reddit exodus started. Most won’t bother changing and new users usually go for the more popular options.
I agree though, Mbin is the cleanest.
