TF2, according to steam charts, is the third most played game on steam. It’s been overrun by bots for years now, and recently a petition started that’ll be printed and delivered to valve HQ. If you care about TF2, or if you can spare some time, please sign the petition

There has also been posted videos showing that a vast majority of tf2’s active players are likely bots, whether trading bots or aimbots. This kind of petition may never get anywhere.
My problem with valve is that they do less than the bare minimum for upkeep, while adding microtrandactions to continue profiting. What we’re asking for is an answer to the bot problem, and nothing more. Something that should be a base essential for any fps
I’m not sure valve really cares at this point. I think they still enjoy TF2, but I get the sense that they don’t really know what to do with it at this point and no one really wants to give it enough attention to figure out how to fix the problems it currently has, much less figure out how to expand the game further. Tbh it’s an old game, and they may even feel like they’ve programmed themselves into a corner, where any major changes would require reprogramming large parts of the game or even migrating the game to a newer version of source.
That said, I’ve signed it, or at least tried to sign it. It gave me an error about being blocked due to bot activity, though that might have been my fault. I hit the button and waited for a confirmation but nothing happened, so I hit it again, nothing happened, and then on the third try the site refreshed a couple times before telling me I’d been blocked.
However, hopefully it got through.
There are currently so many people signing the petition that the confirmation emails that are supposed to be sent out are getting clogged up. I’m talking it’s hours behind at this point lol
It’s the third most played game only because of the bots lol. Should def be fixed though.

Thanks, bro. Keep up the good stuff!
That game is dead to me. I really loved it when it was actual humans playing, but I checked out years ago when the bots started taking over. Some days you couldn’t get ANY actual match in, since bots would straight up vote-kick you off.
Valve doesn’t seem to really care or they would’ve fixed it on their own. So I doubt a petition will have much effect.
