I live in Bowman’s district and it’s disgusting how effective this ad blitz has been. Latimer yard signs are everywhere here, while I’ve only seen one Bowman sign. The only pro-Bowman media I’ve seen this election cycle was an op-ed in a local paper. I hope I’m wrong, but it’s looking like Latimer will run away with this one.

When the Democratic Party propped up Coathanger Cuellar, they claimed it was because they protect incumbents and not because his opponent was a progressive.

I’m not seeing the party protecting Bowman.

The Democratic party seems to be pretty ok with staying just a few moral shades lighter than the GOP and i honestly can’t stomach watching that depth meter spin down into the abyss.

        …always has been

This isn’t true. Both the Republicans and Democrats have had phases where they opposed the right wing. Lincoln was friends with Marx and FDR fought the Nazis. Also, it’s extremely damaging to draw equivalence between a flawed ally and an enemy you share no common ground with.

FDR threw Japanese Americans in concentration camps. He didn’t oppose fascism, he just didn’t think Hitler was doing it right.

          flawed ally

REALLY? Is that how you would describe the fascist apartheid regime currently engaging in genocide and myriad other crimes against humanity on a daily basis? A flawed fucking ally?

You genocide-denying apologists are fucking wild! 🤦🤬

Not what I meant but yes, they are indeed participating by providing weapons and gaslighting people on behalf of the fascist apartheid regime.

You thought I was talking about the Israeli government? Let me be clear: the Israeli government aren’t allies of the American left.

                on behalf of the fascist

Entirely true. Unfortunately, the bar for what we can reasonably consider an “ally” is depressingly low.

Ah ok. Either way, the Dem leadership isn’t an ally to the Left. They’re the less odious of two adversaries.

Two neoliberal parties, each allowed to accept massive donations from lobby groups, without ranked choice voting to punish them. While they’ve built managed democracies the world over, nowhere gives them wet dreams like America.

The us politicians accepting the bribes, or donations from aipac would act offended if you suggested they were influenced by Israeli money in their support of the genocidal terrorists

As far as I can tell, the Dems are a pro Netanyahu party because those opposed to the genocide are a minority.

Even Bernie only got something like 70 House reps to sign his protest thing and that included about 10 republicans as well.
