check the tweet guys. out of the 100 comments there are like 3 complaining. probably the 3 users who use twitter on a pc and can actually see the details.

ill be honest, most people are going to be ok with slop content in the future. you know, your basic coworkers and neighbours, the people who watch the recommended netflix movies, and generated spotify playlists. deezer said nowdays at least 15% of new uploads are ai generated. people only want some noise in the background. just to numb the stress, pain, thoughts…

hell, even one of old friends told me that i have too high standard for movies, for not watching crap. cause “not every movie is suppose to be great”.

Well, sure, not every movie is supposed to be great, but the charm of some movies is just how bad they are. Or the director is trying to do something weird. Or whatever.

But something that’s AI-generated just isn’t interesting in the same way. There’s a big difference between “this is crap because the budget was so low” and “this is crap because a computer generated it”.

I’ve been saying this for years. Furries and Juggalos are my least favorite kinds of people

Really? I’m no Juggalo or furry, but I’ve never known a bad one. Some of em are rough sure, but generally very accepting of people. Hell, I was broke aa hell at years ago, and my friend, who was a juggalo, kept me fed and gave me a home to stay in.

I’m guessing you only pay attention the surface level and judge folks for being who they want to be. What a shame to live life like that.

They were mean to that one Nazi bitch that came to the gathering. The chick from Shot of Love…tia something. She posed in some Nazi uniform stuff. (That’s why I called her a Nazi). I’m not sure if that’s why she was booed at the gathering or just a coincidence.

I have unfortunately known some furries who happened to be shitty people, but that isn’t a trait exclusive to any one community. Case in point: the person you responded to is also a shit person

I may not be a fan of furry culture, but damn if they are not some really cool people (except when they are in their fur suits, they have to be unbelievably hot in there).

If there’s no afterlife when you die, were you ever alive at all?

    Um… Yes?

Mam, I’m glad I never got into ICP. This is fuckin embarrassing.

Do you not remember the memes from their “Miracles” video, like “Fucking magnets, how do they work?” The song included an anecdote about how Shaggy 2 Dope almost got his phone stolen by a pelican and lyrics like “I don’t wanna talk to a scientist. Y’all motherfuckers lyin’, and getting me pissed.”

Um. No. And, I’m sorry, but I’m also failing to connect relevance. Just didn’t click in my brain hole, nothing against you out your rhetoric. Oh! Are you just saying, “Yeah, they’re dumb”?

The article sounds like they’re really well known… never heard of them though lol

Are they popular outside of the US?

    Genuine question

I’m from Detroit. They’re from Detroit. I cannot begin to tell you how popular they were or can be in Detroit.

They had one or two good albums but as of right now they’re just trying to stay relevant.

I loved them…in high school. I still like some of their songs, but it’s not for everyone. Besides their music and the gathering festival they got into wrestling, made some movies (old western, and more modern gangsta ones). I never followed them out of rapping and the dark carnival, but they looked like they were having fun. They made faygo so popular they started selling it at Hot Topic.

Also every now and again I watch that youtube video of people making fun of Miracles (the fucking magnets song)

outside the US? not likely. I would even argue they’re not even that popular or known in all of the US. but in the midwest and for some reason Southern Arizona? 100%.

I went to high school in Southern Arizona when my family lived in the US and yeah, pretty much everyone at my high school loved them. I liked one of their albums but I wasn’t like a face painting merch buying fan. They didn’t radio play or anything, it was all word of mouth and early internet stuff.

in college I worked at a local Best Buy and EVERY TIME a new ICP album would come out (which was frequently) we always had to put a couple extra people in the media department cruising the CD aisles and one posted outside the washroom because the Juggalos would constantly come in to steal the album. You could see them coming from a mile away cause they quite literally were advertising the band with all the merch they had on. But they would NEVER pay for the album, it was so odd. like buying a $50 ICP Hockey Jersey? sure. Paying $15 for the new album? no way fam, they’re stealing that shit.

They did extensive marketing there early in their career due to a dart throw on a mad to see if they could recreate their success in metro Detroit elsewhere.

They did it around there and Colorado iirc. It’s been decades since I read Violent J’s autobiography. Interesting read, they worked their asses off with promotion.
