After searching for a quick way to check the video and audio codecs of videos on my hard drive, I found Icaros, a property handler for several video file extensions. Once installed, you can add columns such as ‘Video tracks’ and ‘Audio tracks’ to the Details layout of File Explorer to see basic details about how videos are encoded without having to open each file in MediaInfo.
