To be honest, Canada partly has itself to blame. They let Russia interfere in US elections for a decade at this point but didn’t lift a finger to interfere for the other side that respects them. That attitude needs to end.

In case people don’t realize. Canada shares an Arctic border with Russia and Russia is trying to take Canadian land and regularly crosses into our waters to steal resources. It is of benefit to Putin for Canada to be weak and distracted by Trump, since Trump works for Putin, it’s very clear why he’s doing this

It’s as though Trump think’s he’s the first person in history to realise that canada has some nice things.

If you have a $200b trade deficit you can just take over that country and then there’s no deficit.

There is no trade deficit. If you spend $200 at a grocery store, you do not have a trade deficit with that store. The US is free NOT TO BUY CANADA’S SHIT. Oh right the US are avaricious consumers who can’t live without their fucking brands and cheap Walmart garbage. They can’t go one second without.

Trade deficits are also often structured that way on purpose because the alternative is the smaller country not allowing any trade in from the larger country.

I hope that people in the Pentagon remember that following illegal orders is a crime, too, and you cannot be forced to do so. Something established in Nürnberg when they took care of the Nazis.

An order to attack Canada, Mexico, Greenland, or Panama would basically be such an illegal order.

This is not the first time the US has made up bullshit in order to attack a country: WMDs in Iraq, communism in Vietnam, Russia said there were nazis in Ukraine to justify that war. The military only needs a lie and then it’s not illegal anymore. The lies are already circulating. “canada is communist” “canada hurts the US”

Other than the consequences that would happen as a result, it’d be hilarious if Canada ended up doing a, I think we call them, “preemptive targeted use of force against specific individuals determined to pose an active threat to national security”.

How fucked is it if another country, historically our closest ally, assassinated our president so many of us would just be like “yeah, makes sense”.

I wonder how many people know you can download for free or purchase the files for 3D printed guns. The additional parts can be bought, legally, in discreet kits from easy to find online sellers - but many of those parts can be bought or modified from commercially available hardware. I wonder if people know that.

The receiver is the part of the gun with a serial number that has to be reported to the government when sold or transferred. Every other part and ammunition are normal goods with few restrictions.

Only one part needs to be self crafted to make and fire a ghost gun. They are not impossible to detect through investigation or forensics, they’re just unregistered.

FYI, the Trudeau government wants that to be illegal, not the actual download build and use, but just the knowledge to be able to do it.

If I find the information again I will upload a link.

I have a hard time believing that because it would be nearly impossible to implement, monitor and prosecute. Not to mention Trudeau is no longer the party leader. Not to mention you can’t really ban having the knowledge to do something.

Do you mean Bill C-21? Because that only covered the possession and distribution of files and parts for ghost guns.

And there you have it. It was never about fentanyl. It was always about annexation (i should just call it as it is and call it invasion). And that’s why there was never anything that Canada could do to stop the tariffs.

Not much i can do from across the ocean, except join in the boycott. But i’m boycotting anything American. Not just products of red states. I want to see America burn, and for Americans to lay the blame squarely on Trump, Elon, the Republican party and the 31% of Americans who are too stupid or racist to recognise a con.

54% of Americans read at below a 6th grade level and half do not have a passport. They are fed propaganda from a young age to believe that their nation is the absolute best and with such poor literacy it’s doubtful that they ever question it.

Teaching Americans that they’re part of a global community is an uphill battle. The populace has been in a state of being dumbed down to the point of accepting someone like Trump for several decades now.
