    Gotta love the Streisand Effect.

I probably never would have even heard about this book without their attempt to stop it.

Funny, Meta trying to stop it made me buy it immediately on Libro.FM, where it will remain mine to download and keep.

There are 2 “Careless people” books, by the way, look for the subtitle “A Story Of Where I Used To Work”

That seems to be an audio book on Libro. Barnes & Noble still has the physical book available online, but who knows. Anyway, the author is a former FB exec, so evil by definition, just maybe less evil than Zuckerberg. And I doubt she needs the money from the book.

My local library has 65 holds on 2 copies, lol. Maybe I’ll look for it after the clamor has died down.

There are multiple books with that title, which is a reference to The Great Gatsby (https://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/64317):

They were careless people, Tom and Daisy—they smashed up things and creatures and then retreated back into their money or their vast carelessness, or whatever it was that kept them together, and let other people clean up the mess they had made …

I mean she did prob sign an agreement saying she wouldn’t do it. Not saying she shouldn’t try but it is a risky endeavor based on existing case law once you sign an agreement like that. Once a digital version exists though not much they can do to stop it circulating, except sue her for everything.
