        It’s more about not really caring if the person you’re telling the joke to finds it funny and more about amusing yourself

          thats true for puns and quick wit, but theres also a new obligation to keep it clean and you have to keep the offensive filth internal.

      I became a dad late (around middle age) and was telling dad jokes way before that. My theory is it’s less about becoming a father and more about getting older and just wanting to annoy people for my own amusement.
